Everest Trekking
Mt. Everest being the world’s highest mountain offers special adventurous intrigue. This trek brings you a laps of the Mt. Everest and experiencing Buddhist monasteries and typical Sherpa culture and their warm hospitality. This trek passes through a several beautiful Sherpa villages like Namche Bazar, Thame, Kumjung, Khunde, Phortse etc. The main hightlight of this trek is hike up to the view point of Kala Patthar (5,545 m) situated on one of the spurs of Pumori and bring you the heart of the Himalayas.
Day 01: Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Unlimited Sherpa Expeditions will greet you at the airport & transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Half day Sightseeing in Katmandu city with cultural tour guide. Hotel
Day 03: Flight to Lukla & trek begins, Camp at Phakding (2610m.) 3-4 hrs.Lodge
Day 04:Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft): 5 – 6 hrs
Walking through a beautiful pine forest, the track leads us along the Dudh Koshi River through many suspension bridges,
Day 05: Trek to Thame village (3,800 m/12,464ft) Or rest in Namche Bazar
Today, we’ll head toward the western part of Khumbu to a place called Thame village.
(Breakfast, lunch, dinner & teahouse accommodation included).
Day 06: Trek to Khumjung village (3,790m/12,431ft) via Khunde
After strolling around Thame we trek back to the Syangboche airstrip,
Day 07:Trek to Tengboche (3860m)
Tengboche. We Climb the ridge above Namche and descend to the Dudh Koshi Riover before climbing again to Tengboche Monastery (12664 feet). (4-6 hours). Devoche is slightly further (20minutes) a charming village.
Day 08: Trek to Dingboche (4350 meters.).
Mountains as a backdrop, the monastery in Tengboche looks spectacular more in the morning.
Day 09: Acclimatisation day
Today you can enjoy another day for acclimatization. This day we will have trip to Chhukung valley, then we return to Dingboche in the evening.
Day 10: Trek Lobuche
After ascending 150 m up to the main road, we reach a viewpoint where we have outstanding sights at Tawachee (6 495 m) and
Cholatse peak (6 440m).
Day 11: Lobuche – Gorak Shep [5170 m/16,961ft] – Everest Base Camp [5364 m/17,594 ft] / Kala Patthar (5545 m/18,192 ft) – Gorak Shep: 8-9 hrs
The trail to Gorak Shep goes ahead through the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. We pass though the pyramid sign post.
Day 12: Early Hike to Kala Pathar(5,550m/18,204ft) & trek back to Pheriche 6-7 hrs walk
Your Guide will arrange time for this morning to start early hike up to Kala Pathar for the most wonderful sunrise views of the Everest.
Day 13: Trek to Tyangboche (3,867m/12684ft)
The walk today will be easy heading downhill to a lower elevation from Pheriche the walk is pleasant and all the way to Tyangboche.
Day 14: Tyangboche to Namche (3,440m/11,283ft)
Trek down to Phungithanka a small settlement with couple of teahouses.
Day 15 – Trek to Lukla (2,804m) – 6 hrs
Finally we return to Lukla where we started our trek, which might seem like a lifetime ago.
Day 16 – Morning flight back to Kathmandu
On your flight back to Kathmandu as you leave Lukla, you can enjoy some last-minute glimpses of the mountains you just recently visited.
Day 17: Rest or Shopping
Day 18: back to Destination
